The integrated flood risk management study for Thu Duc City in Ho Chi Minh City aimed to build flood resilience through adaptive, climate-responsive planning. The study established the analytic a land technical foundation for a series of mitigation projects addressing both land subsidence and climate change impacts. It also contributed to investment planning for the Thu Duc City Integrated Flood Risk Management Project – Phase 1 (2026–2030)in the northeast. A citywide blue-green vision was developed based on the principle “delay, store, drain, discharge,” supported by design research on Nature-based Solutions. Together, these strategies strengthen water management and climate adaptability.
