Brief description

The study “Scaling Freshwater NbS in the Mekong Subregion” was carried out under the Climate Resilient by Nature (CRxN) MekongExtension Project, which promotes ecosystem restoration along theUpper Mekong River. The project identifies regional challenges to define and locate Nature-based Solutions (NbS) across Thailand,Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Three case studies—flooded forest restoration in Khum Chol Sar (Cambodia), flood-based agriculture inLang Sen (Vietnam), and wetland restoration in Goot Ting(Thailand)—were developed using GIS analysis to explore up scaling potential. Together, they form a framework for trans boundary restoration and climate resilience in the Mekong region.
