Support to GIZ Sponge City Program within the MEKONG DELTA CLIMATE RESILIENCE PROGRAMME

Brief Description

Activities included technical backstopping for the Academy forConstruction Strategy and Cadres Training(ACST) in the Sponge City training programme, involving coordination withGIZ and ACST, consultations, and preparation of inputs for curricula and training materials.

Technical inputs werealso provided for two investment proposalsseeking funding based on FAST INFRA labelcertification, including consultations withthe MCRP Team and Mekong provinces(Soc Trang, Rach Gia, Ca Mau, and BacLieu), as well as reviewing sponge cityconcepts and advising on projectprioritization. Support was given fordeveloping factsheets to disseminateresults related to Blue-GreenInfrastructure/Sponge City throughconsultations, drafting text inputs, andassisting with visual materials. Additionally,ad-hoc technical backstopping wasprovided for the MCRP “Urban Resilience”component as needed.
